Cancelling a transfer or requesting a refund
If your transfer has already been delivered, recalling the funds can be difficult and take time. It is sometimes easier for you to resolve this directly with the recipient who received your funds. Contact our support team through the app and we will look into what options are available for your transfer. If no options exist, we will let you know.

For your recipient
Does my recipient need to do anything?
Mobile wallet (GCash, Maya, Coins.ph): No action needed. The transfer goes directly to the wallet linked to your recipient's mobile number. For GCash, if your recipient is receiving an international transfer for the first time, they will need to open the GCash app and accept the terms for receiving international remittances. This is a one-time step.
Bank transfer: No action needed. Funds are deposited directly into your recipient's bank account.
Cash pickup (Cebuana Lhuillier and Palawan Pawnshop and Others): Your recipient needs to visit any of the partner locations listed above and present a valid government-issued ID along with the pickup reference number. You can share the reference number from the Taptap Send app by tapping the transfer and selecting Share Code.
PaytoCard: No action needed. Funds go directly to the Visa or Mastercard debit card number you provided.
What details does my recipient need to provide?

How does my recipient cash out?
Bank transfer
Funds are deposited directly into your recipient's bank account. No action is needed.
PaytoCard
Funds go directly to your recipient's Visa or Mastercard debit card. No action is needed. Your recipient can use the card for purchases or withdraw cash at any ATM that accepts Visa or Mastercard.
GCash
Funds arrive directly in your recipient's GCash wallet. They will receive a notification in the app.
Your recipient can cash out by visiting any GCash agent or partner outlet (such as 7-Eleven, SM Business Center, or Robinsons). They will need their registered mobile number and GCash MPIN.
They can also transfer their balance directly to any Philippine bank account from within the GCash app.

Maya
Funds arrive directly in your recipient's Maya wallet. They will receive a notification in the app.
Your recipient can cash out at any Maya Center or partner outlet, or transfer the balance to a linked bank account from within the Maya app.

Coins.ph
Funds arrive directly in your recipient's Coins.ph wallet. They will receive a notification in the app.
To cash out:

Your recipient can also use their Coins.ph balance directly for bills payment, mobile load, and online purchases without cashing out.

Cash pickup (Cebuana Lhuillier)
Your recipient needs to visit any Cebuana Lhuillier branch with a valid government-issued ID and the pickup reference number. Funds are typically available within minutes of the transfer being sent.
Regular Cebuana Lhuillier hours: Monday to Saturday, hours vary by branch. Closed on Sundays and public holidays.
Transfers sent on Sundays or public holidays can be collected as soon as the branch reopens.
Cash pickup (Palawan Pawnshop and Others)
Your recipient needs to visit any Palawan Pawnshop or partner location with a valid government-issued ID and the pickup reference number.
Redeeming a gift card
If you sent a gift card to your recipient in the Philippines, here is how they can redeem it, depending on the merchant.
Mercury Drug: your recipient should visit any Mercury Drug store and give the eGift code to the store manager for validation. If the total value is not used up in one purchase, no cash change will be given. If the purchase exceeds the eGift amount, your recipient pays the difference.
Shopee: your recipient can redeem their voucher at giftaway.ph/shopeepay/v2/redeem by entering their code. This card can be used one time only.
7-Eleven CLiQQ: your recipient should first activate their Philippine mobile number on the CLiQQ app (open the app, press "Open Wallet", enter details and create a passcode). Then redeem the eGift at giftaway.ph/cliqq/redeem by entering the eGift code and an email for confirmation. Credit is added to their CLiQQ wallet and can be used for in-store purchases via the CLiQQ app.
Grab: your recipient should open the Grab app, go to the Vouchers section, and enter the gift card code there.
Jollibee: your recipient should visit any participating Jollibee store and provide the eGift code to redeem. This card can be used one time only. For a list of participating locations, visit giftaway.ph.
