For your recipient

Does my recipient need to do anything?

For Orange Money, Wave and Wizall wallet transfers, funds arrive automatically in your recipient's account. No action is needed.

If your recipient is receiving an international transfer via Orange Money for the first time, they may need to remove the cap on their account before they can access the funds. They can do this by visiting an Orange Money agency in person with a valid ID.

For cash pickup transfers via Wizall/Proximo or BNB, your recipient will need to visit an agent or branch with a valid ID and the code they received by text.

Wizall and Proximo agents operate during standard business hours. Transfers cannot be collected outside of these hours.

What details does my recipient need to provide?

Orange Money: full name, Orange mobile number

Wave: full name, mobile number registered with Wave

Wizall wallet or cash pickup: full name, mobile number registered with Wizall

BNB cash pickup: full name (must match ID)

How does my recipient cash out?

Orange Money

Your recipient's funds land in their Orange Money wallet. In Senegal, Orange Money is now part of the Max it app. Your recipient can access and cash out their money by opening Max it and selecting Orange Money.

They can also check their balance by dialling #144# from their Orange number.

To change their PIN, your recipient can dial #144#73# and follow the steps.

For support, your recipient can contact Orange Money on 1444, on Facebook at facebook.com/orange.sn, on Twitter @SupportOrange, or by email at serviceclient@orange-sonatel.com. If your recipient has trouble at an Orange agency, it is worth trying a different one.

Wave

Funds arrive directly in your recipient's Wave wallet and can be accessed through the Wave app. In rare cases where a cash pickup code has been issued, your recipient can collect the funds at a Wave agent by presenting the redemption code received by text.

Wizall/Proximo

If your recipient has a Wizall wallet, the funds arrive directly in their account with no cashout fee. They can access their balance through the Wizall app.

For cash pickup, your recipient needs to bring a valid ID and the SMS code they received to any Wizall or Proximo agent. Pickup locations include Total gas stations, Proximo points, Bizpoint, Point touch, Cofina Senegal branches and post offices.

To find the nearest agent, your recipient can download the Wizall app and use the built-in locator. For help, your recipient can call Wizall on 338649900.

BNB

Your recipient needs to visit a BNB branch with a valid ID and the code they received by text.
