Cancelling a transfer or requesting a refund

If your transfer has already been delivered, recalling the funds can be difficult and take time. It is sometimes easier for you to resolve this directly with the recipient who received your funds. Contact our support team through the app and we will look into what options are available for your transfer. If no options exist, we will let you know. You can also refer to our global article Can I cancel or get a refund for my transfer?

For your recipient

Does my recipient need to do anything?

Bank transfer: No action needed. Funds are deposited directly into your recipient's bank account once the transfer is processed.

Cash pickup (Zamzam): Your recipient will be notified once the funds are ready to collect. They need to visit a Zamzam location with a valid government-issued ID.

What details does my recipient need to provide?

Bank transfer: Full name, bank name, and either an IBAN or account number. Using an IBAN is recommended, transfers sent to an IBAN tend to process faster.

Cash pickup (Zamzam): Your recipient's full legal name exactly as it appears on their ID. Make sure to enter this correctly before confirming, there is no name validation in the app, and a mismatch can cause the transfer to fail.

Jordan requires 4 name fields for both sender and recipient. If your recipient has fewer than 4 names, enter them as follows:

  • 3 names: repeat the last name in the 3rd and 4th fields
  • 2 names: repeat the first name in the 1st and 2nd fields, and the last name in the 3rd and 4th fields

If you're still having trouble, contact our support team through the app.

How does my recipient cash out?

Bank transfer

Funds are deposited directly into your recipient's bank account. No action is needed from your recipient.

Bank transfers are processed Sunday to Thursday. The daily cutoff is 1:30pm Jordan time, transfers sent after this time will be processed the next working day. Friday and Saturday are the Jordanian weekend.

Allow up to 2 business days for funds to appear in your recipient's account. During public holidays (including Eid), delays may be longer, the app will show you the updated expected delivery time.

Cash pickup (Zamzam)

Your recipient can collect at any Zamzam location across Jordan. Pickup is available Sunday to Thursday, 8:00am to 1:00am. Cash pickup processing runs 24/7, so funds are typically ready within minutes.

To collect, your recipient needs:

  • A valid government-issued photo ID
  • The transfer reference number
