Cancelling a transfer or requesting a refund

If your transfer has already been delivered, recalling the funds can be difficult and take time. It is sometimes easier for you to resolve this directly with the recipient who received your funds. Contact our support team through the app and we will look into what options are available for your transfer. If no options exist, we will let you know.

For your recipient

Does my recipient need to do anything?

MonCash

To receive an international transfer, your recipient needs a Full MonCash wallet. They can upgrade in three ways:

  • Online: fill in the MonCash registration form at bit.ly/MonCash_Plus
  • In store: visit any Digicel store with a valid ID
  • By appointment: contact MonCash to book an in-person session with an agent

They will need to provide:

  • Their full legal name
  • Their Digicel phone number
  • A photo of their passport or national ID

Once upgraded, your recipient needs to consent to receive international transfers by dialling *202# then selecting option 6 β†’ 1 β†’ 1, or through the MonCash app.

If your recipient does not complete verification within 3 days of you sending, Digicel will send them an SMS with a reference number. They can then collect the money as a cash pickup at any Fonkoze location.

Mobile wallet (NatCash)

Your recipient needs an active NatCash account linked to their Natcom mobile number. If they don't have one, they can register at a NatCash agent location.

If their wallet isn't activated for international transfers (IMT), they need to visit the nearest NatCash or CAM Transfer office in person. They can also dial *202# to go through the registration process.

Bank transfer (Unibank)

No action needed. Funds are deposited directly into your recipient's Unibank account.

Cash pickup (CAM Transfer)

Your recipient will receive an SMS with a reference number once the transfer is sent. To collect, they need to visit a CAM Transfer location with their valid photo ID and this reference number.

What details do I need to send money to Haiti?

Delivery method Details needed
Mobile wallet (MonCash) Your recipient's Digicel mobile number
Bank transfer (Sogebank) Your recipient's bank account details
Mobile wallet (NatCash) Your recipient's Natcom mobile number
Bank transfer (Unibank) Your recipient's full name, address, and bank account number
Cash pickup (CAM Transfer) Your recipient's full legal name and mobile number

How does my recipient cash out?

MonCash

Funds arrive directly in your recipient's MonCash wallet once verification is complete. They will receive a notification from Digicel when the transfer lands.

To withdraw cash, they can visit any MonCash agent, including pharmacies, grocery stores, and other everyday locations. They will need:

  • Their Digicel number
  • Their MonCash PIN

They can also check their balance at any time by dialling *202# or through the MonCash app.

NatCash

Funds arrive directly in your recipient's NatCash wallet. They can withdraw at any NatCash agent or CAM Transfer location across Haiti.

Sogebank

Funds are deposited directly into your recipient's Sogebank account in either HTG or USD, depending on which currency you selected when sending. No action is needed.

Unibank (Unitransfer)

Funds are deposited directly into your recipient's Unibank account in HTG. Note that some Unitransfer locations are inside Unibank branches, so your recipient can collect at either.

CAM Transfer

Your recipient will receive a 12-digit code by SMS directly from CAM Transfer. To collect, they need to bring:

  • The 12-digit SMS code from CAM Transfer
  • A valid government-issued photo ID
Important: The reference number shown in the Taptap Send app is different and will not be recognised at pickup. Your recipient should use the code received by SMS from CAM Transfer, not the one in the app.
