Can I cancel my transfer or get a refund?
If your transfer has already been delivered, recalling the funds can be difficult and take time. It is sometimes easier to resolve this directly with the recipient. For both MTN and Moov, your recipient just needs an active account registered to the phone number you are sending to.
What details does my recipient need to provide?
Their MTN or Moov phone number.
How does my recipient cash out?
MTN
Funds land directly in their MTN Mobile Money wallet. Cashing out is optional. They can also use their wallet to pay for goods, public transport, and household bills.
To check their balance: dial *880# and select option 4.
To withdraw cash: visit any MTN Mobile Money agent or kiosk. They only need to give their phone number and the amount they want to withdraw. Cash-out fees apply based on the amount.
Moov
Funds land directly in their Moov wallet.
To check their balance: dial *855# and select option 5.
To withdraw cash: visit any Moov agent or kiosk. Cash-out fees may apply.
