How do Taptap Send Wallet-to-wallet transfers work?

You can send wallet to wallet transfers within your own country. These transfers are available in the UK and UAE (UK to UK, or UAE to UAE).

Who can I send to?

You can send a wallet to wallet transfer to any of your recipients, within your country, if they already have a Taptap Send Wallet.

How do I find another wallet?

When sending a transfer from your wallet, just hit the Send button: you'll be able to select the recipient from your contacts, or add a new recipient. The app will automatically identify if they have a Taptap Send Wallet, shown by their Taptap tag (for example, @aisha106).

You can also send them a wallet transfer by scanning their QR code directly, which is available from their main screen.

How can I ask one of my recipients to fund my wallet?

You can request funds from another Taptap Send Wallet user. To do this, open your wallet from the home screen and tap Request. You'll then be able to select eligible recipients and send them a wallet funding request.

You can also share your personal QR code or a payment link directly from the Wallet screen. Tap the request option, then choose to share via WhatsApp or copy the link. You can also enter a specific amount before sharing.

Are there any fees?

If you're sending between two wallets of the same currency, the transfer is completely free.

If you're sending from your GBP wallet to a wallet in a different currency, standard Taptap Send exchange rates apply. The rate is always shown clearly in the app before you confirm.

How much can I send?

A single wallet-to-wallet transfer is capped at £3,000 GBP, or 37,000 AED. Monthly limits also apply — you'll be notified in the app if you're approaching them.
