How can I send money to Turkiye (Turkey)?

Fees
Taptap Send always shows you the exact fee and exchange rate upfront, you'll see them on the very first screen before you confirm your transfer. There are no hidden charges.
When sending to Turkiye, the following fee structure applies:

⚠ The flat fee applies only to EUR and USD transfers. If you send in Turkish lira (TRY), no flat fee applies regardless of where you're sending from.

Your overall account sending limits are based on your verification level. Türkiye-specific limits per delivery method:

Cancelling a transfer or requesting a refund
If your transfer has already been delivered, recalling the funds can be difficult and take time. It is sometimes easier for you to resolve this directly with the recipient who received your funds. Contact our support team through the app and we will look into what options are available for your transfer. If no options exist, we will let you know. For your recipient
Does my recipient need to do anything?
Bank transfer: No action needed. Funds are deposited directly into your recipient's bank account.
Uption: Your recipient needs an active Uption account before you send. If their account is inactive, the transfer will be rejected. Ask your recipient to confirm their account is active and they can receive international transfers before you confirm.
Cash pickup (UPT): No action needed in advance. Your recipient will receive an SMS with a reference code once the transfer is sent. They need to visit any UPT service point to collect.
What details does my recipient need to provide?
Bank transfer: Full name, bank name, and IBAN (TRY accounts only).
Uption: Full name and either their IBAN or Uption customer number (example format: 21719460).
Cash pickup (UPT): Full name (must match the name you entered when sending) and transfer reference number.
How does my recipient cash out?
Bank transfer
Funds are deposited directly into your recipient's bank account. No action needed.
Uption
Funds are deposited directly into your recipient's Uption account. They can use them for purchases or withdraw via their preferred method.
Cash pickup (UPT)
Your recipient will receive an SMS with a unique reference code once the transfer is sent. To collect, they need to visit any UPT service point and:
- 1Present a valid government-issued ID or passport (the name must match what you entered for the transfer)
- 2Provide the reference code from the SMS
- 3Sign a receipt when collecting the funds
The reference code is valid for 30 days. Make sure your recipient collects before it expires.

UPT operating hours:
- Monday to Saturday: 08:30–18:00
- Sunday: only Aksaray and Kadıköy branches open, 09:30–16:00 (Istanbul time)
- Post offices: 08:00–17:00
