Bank transfer: No action needed. Funds are deposited directly into your recipient's bank account.
Mobile money (Orange): No, funds are deposited directly into their Orange Money wallet.
Cash pickup (CashPlus, Wafacash, Barid Cash, Al Barid Bank, LanaCash): No action needed in advance. Your recipient will need to visit a partner location to collect their funds once the transfer is ready. See "How does my recipient cash out?" below for what to bring and where to go.
What details does my recipient need to provide?
Bank transfer: Your recipient's full name, bank name, and account number (RIB).
Mobile money (Orange): Their Orange registered phone number.
Cash pickup (CashPlus, Wafacash, Barid Cash, Al Barid Bank, LanaCash): Your recipient's full name (must match their ID exactly) and phone number.
How does my recipient cash out?
Here is what your recipient may need to do depending on how you sent the money.
Bank transfer
Funds are deposited directly into your recipient's bank account. No action is needed from your recipient.
Mobile money (Orange)
Funds are credited directly to their Orange Money wallet. They can use the balance for payments or withdraw cash at an Orange Money agent.
CashPlus
Your recipient can collect at any CashPlus agency across Morocco. To collect, they need to bring:
- A valid government-issued photo ID
- The transaction code (this may contain both letters and numbers, this is normal)
The CashPlus agent should check their international portal and search for Taptap Send to locate the transfer. Cash is available instantly with no cashout fees.
