Does my recipient need to do anything?
MTN and Orange: No action needed to receive the funds. Funds are credited directly to their mobile wallet.
Cash pickup (BnB): Yes. They need to visit a participating BnB pickup location to collect their money.
What details does my recipient need to provide?
MTN and Orange: No details needed at collection. Make sure you enter the correct mobile number when sending, as money is sent directly to the wallet linked to that number.
Cash pickup (BnB): A valid photo ID, and in some cases the transaction number.
How does my recipient cash out?
MTN: Funds are available in their MTN Mobile Money wallet. They can withdraw cash at any authorised MTN Mobile Money agent.
Orange: Funds are available in their Orange Money wallet. To withdraw, they should visit an Orange shop or authorised Orange Money agent and give their phone number. They'll get a confirmation SMS, then dial *144#, confirm the transaction with their secret PIN, and press send or call. They'll receive a final confirmation SMS before collecting the cash. Cash out fees may apply.
Cash pickup (BnB): Funds are usually ready within minutes at a trusted BnB pickup location. Your recipient collects with a valid photo ID and, where required, the transaction number.
